Edgar Allan Poe boots!

Are there any Edgar Allan Poe fans out there? If you are one, then you've got to see these knee-high boots I've been painting! Pictured above is what the boots looked like before.

  


 
That's just the left boot! The right boot looks like this now...
 The old man's blind eye is a reference to The Tell Tale Heart. "And then, when my head was well in the room, I undid the lantern cautiously –oh, so cautiously –cautiously (for the hinges creaked) –I undid it just so much that a single thin ray fell upon {his} vulture eye."
The beating heart is from the same story. "'Villains!' I shrieked. 'Dissemble no more! I admit the deed! Tear up the planks! Here, here! It is the beating of his hideous heart!
